Delicious chicken tortilla soup. Restaurant is decorated, employees are polite, & service is quick.

We were in this area for work so we decided to check this little spot out!! It did not disappoint... Cute spot right on the main street. Excellent authentic Mexican food. Platters were large portions. Even the lunch portion. Flavor of the food was great! Service was great just be mindful this is authentic food so it is made to order so be patient. That's why it's so good!!

Ok. Let's get this straight. I was out of town for a business trip. When my stomach started to rumble. I was craving some mexican food. This place was the nearest place so I pulled over and got some food. I ordered a ground beef burrito with fries and some Mexican street corn. So it took about 10 minutes for me to get my order, and the staff were so nice. But when I bit into this burrito, I acsended into another plane of existence. My stomach yelled for more. 10 STARS!

Really good Mexican food in downtown Freehold. They use family recipes for an amazing authentic taste. The bierra tacos were incredible as was the salsa and street tacos. Highly recommend

This restaurant seems very authentic. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive. It is a very casual feel and is brightly decorated. The food was delicious. My only complaint was that I was not able to get the steak in my fajitas rare as it was very thinly sliced steak. My companions had enchilada mole and quesadillas fajitas. All three of us enjoyed our meals. I don't know if you can bring your own bottle but they don't serve alcohol. I would definitely come back!

First time here yesterday. Went in between lunch and dinner with my mom. We were the only ones there. The place was clean and the atmosphere was festive. We were welcomed in immediately our server was super friendly. When we looked at the menu we realized we had just missed the lunch menu. It is available from 11-3 and it was 330. It had so many items to choose from for only $10.95. Our server said no problem you can order from there. So we did and everything was delicious. We had the chicken empanadas and the fajita tacos. Great lunch, great service.

Texas Mexican Restaurant has become my go-to for an authentic Mexican fix, and it never disappoints. This local spot has a magic touch when it comes to tacos, nachos, and quesadillas - each bite bursting with flavor. My personal favorite is the birria tacos; they're a symphony of taste. What sets them apart is the generous serving of three tacos per order, and I love that all their tacos come with a double layer of tortillas, a thoughtful touch not every spot in the area embraces. The only hiccup in this otherwise delightful experience is that the birria tacos skip the Spanish rice that accompanies other taco platters. While it's a small gripe, the flavorful birria more than compensates for it. If you're on the hunt for a gem delivering Mexican flavors that truly hit the spot, Texas Mexican Restaurant is the place to be.

Excellent restaurant! Love the casual authentic feel the dining area has. There is sidewalk seating as well, we always opt for indoors during the humid days though. It appears that it's BYOB, but we were there for the delicious food! Enchiladas de Mole was amazing and highly recommend! Portion was huge as well.

Texas Mexican is a no frills Tex-Mex spot with great food. I came here for lunch and got a house salad and some rice and beans. The salad was super flavorful, the dressing was delicious, and the avocados could not have been more perfect. The rice and beans were also super flavorful and I just kept coming back for more. The service was quick and the food was satisfying. Overall I'd definitely recommend this place for a casual lunch or dinner.
